Monica Blum came to work for Har Sinai Congregation in 2010. She began her special relationship with Har Sinai when her daughters attended The Children’s Corner Preschool in 2004 and 2007. Monica grew up in New Jersey and lived in Colorado for 10 years before settling in Baltimore. She spent many years as a stay-at-home mom to her three children. Before coming to work for HSC, Monica taught middle school English in Baltimore City and worked as a paralegal for a prestigious law firm.
As Director of Communications for Har Sinai, Monica was able to utilize her writing and editing skills every day, being responsible for all internal publications and advertising. She assisted in launching the new Har Sinai App and in designing the new Har Sinai website. In her new role as Temple Administrator, Monica will retain some of her communications responsibilities and take on many new tasks related to the day to day management of the temple, helping Har Sinai embrace its vision and its plans for future growth. Monica is a proud member of NATA, The National Association for Temple Administration.
When she’s not working, Monica enjoys reading, writing and cooking. She is a wine lover, a cookbook collector and an avid crocheter. She has two sweet and adorable rescue dogs. More than anything, Monica enjoys being with her three amazing, inspiring, funny children, with treasured family and with special friends.
